What is Land Back?
It is a multi-pronged effort to get Indigenous lands back into Indigenous hands and achieve justice for Indigenous people.
Land Back is the solution to keeping land under the stewardship of Indigenous communities and out of the hands of corporations who are destroying our homelands.
The Land Back movement advocates for a transfer of decision-making power over land to Indigenous communities. The movement does not ask current residents to vacate their homes, but maintains that Indigenous governance is possible, sustainable, and preferred for public lands.
